A wireless network is available in areas of the campus. If you have a valid network logon account and a suitably wireless enabled laptop you will be able to access the network. This service offers Internet access, webmail and the ability to map to the campus X: drive data share.
There will be a number of clinics run at the beginning of the semester and at intervals though the year. Staff and students can obtain assistance with systems running Windows 2000, XP, Vista and OSX at the clinics.
User’s wireless stations are required to meet system security and antivirus standards. As a wireless user you MUST have up-to-date Anti-Virus software on your laptop. The computer centre will do its best to resolve any Wireless issues that occur but users should note that wireless services can be affected by physical masses in the environment, by interference from other devices and by the volume of concurrent users.
