Accessing your X drive off-campus
The Computer Centre is pleased to announce a new service whereby staff whose X Drive is located on the Staff Filestore can access it via the internet from an off-campus location.
In order to avail of this service you must first request that the Computer Centre make your X Drive available to be accessed off-campus. Please send an email to the Computer Centre Helpdesk – helpdesk@nuim.ie stating your name and department and asking that your X Drive be made available off-campus.
Both options (please see below) will be made available within five working days and you will receive email confirmation that the drive is now accessible off-campus.
Webdisk
Windows and Macintosh users can access their X Drive over the internet via the webdisk service. This service allows you to view the contents of your X Drive and to upload and download files. For further information on this service please click here.
At the moment this service is currently only available to staff.
