Recommended Hardware
Introduction
The Computer Centre provides a central information and purchasing point for University departments and staff acquiring computer hardware and software.
We provide up-to-the-minute technical information and advice, and equipment at the best prices available to the University.
- The Computer Centre will configure, purchase and support only recommended IT equipment on behalf of University departments, based on properly authorised requisition forms. Purchases will be made from suppliers that are approved by the Procurement Office and who provide suitable backup support for their products.
- The Computer Centre will no longer purchase equipment for personal, (i.e. home) use.
Anyone wishing to avail of Computer Centre support for hardware or software should purchase the same through the Computer Centre. Due to pressure on resources the Computer Centre cannot offer support for items purchased elsewhere. We regret any inconvenience caused by this.
The PC's listed within these pages are those recommended and supported by the Computer Centre for use within the University.
